We hail from a rainy place, and in some seasons we spend a lot more time in rubber boots than we do in shoes. They’re the right footwear for muddy trails and soggy work sites, but they don’t offer much warmth in cold weather, and we could never find socks that would rise high enough to wear with our boots.
To us, there was an obvious solution—we’d just make our own.
