Lightweight Melton Wool | Men

For years, we’ve described our Modern Melton as the one shirt for every occasion. That’s still true, with one exception—its dense weave, first developed for mariners, can be too warm at times. To give you the technical versatility and weather resistance of Melton but with more comfort when you’re indoors or on the move, we’ve made the Lightweight Melton from a more breathable version of our dye-free post-consumer recycled wool blend. A perfect companion for hikes, travel, or days at work, it also has a slightly more casual cut with a simple collar, snap buttons, single chest pocket and curved bottom hem. The double yoke lends additional strength, and a box pleat gives you plenty of freedom on the move. A durable, wear-it-for-anything design, it’s a shirt you’ll want to always have on your back or in your pack.

12-oz 80% post-consumer recycled wool/20% nylon. Durable, breathable and naturally weather-resistant, this comfortable midweight blend is manufactured in a unique dye-free process for reduced environmental impact. Like all Melton wool garments, it starts out a touch stiff but softens quickly with wear.

fit:

Our traditional tailored fit has a moderately slim cut; to wear the Lightweight Melton more casually, or to fit a more robust frame, we recommend moving up one size. For further details, see the sizing chart.

care:

Wash in cold water and hang to dry. To reduce energy and water use, we recommend washing only when necessary. Less washing also gives your garments a longer life.
